University of Connecticut Neag School of Education Department of Educational Psychology

Dr. James Kaufman, internationally recognized scholar in creativity, recently joined the UConn gifted and talented program. Dr. Sally Reis, Letitia Neag Morgan Chair for Educational Psychology and principal investigator for the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented, carries the university mace at commencement. Dr. Catherine Little receives the prestigious 2012 University of Connecticut Teaching Fellow Award at commencement. The Three Summers Master's Degree Program gives summer school a good name. Dr. Joseph Renzulli shares a humorous story during the Three Summers graduation banquet. Rising juniors and seniors from Connecticut and throughout the world attend Mentor Connection, our popular summer program. Gifted and Talented Education

The Neag Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development provides multiple pathways for interested graduate students to pursue advanced-level courses. Students have opportunities to gain in-depth knowledge about identifying and serving students for special programs and services to develop their gifts and talents. The Department of Educational Psychology offers master of arts, sixth-year diploma, and doctor of philosophy programs in gifted and talented education. Graduate students may choose programs suited to their needs and their desire to learn more about the education of gifted and talented. The Center also offers online and summer training opportunities and an online graduate certificate.
